His Excellency Consul Hazza Ahmed Al Kaabi was officially welcomed by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors as newly appointed Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles County Board Chair, Fourth District Supervisor, and representative of the United States’ largest county, Janice Hahn, welcomed the Consul General in Los Angeles and noted the outstanding relationship between the two countries, expressing her keenness to working with Consul General Alkaabi.
Consul General Al Kaabi thanked the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for welcoming him and conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. In addition, he spoke to the Board of Supervisors and audience of the nearly 50-year relationship between the two countries. Consul General Al Kaabi highlighted the Year of Tolerance and the UAE’s efforts to bring peace and harmony to over 200 nationalities living in the UAE. He noted that he looks forward to strengthening the relationship with Los Angeles County and California and working together for a better future.
Chair Hahn presented a special welcome plaque from Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to Consul General Hazza Al Kaabi. The new Consul Generals are traditionally welcomed by the County Board of Supervisors.
