Ottawa: HE the Governor General of Canada Mary Simon received on Tuesday the credentials of HE Tariq Ali Faraj Al Ansari, who has been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Canada.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Ambassador extended greetings from HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to HE the Governor General of Canada, expressing His Highness’ wishes for good health and happiness for Her Excellency, as well as progress and prosperity for the Canadian government and its people.

In response, HE the Governor General of Canada requested that HE the Ambassador convey her greetings to HH the Amir. She expressed her wish for HH the Amir’s continued health and happiness, and for the State of Qatar to experience ongoing progress and growth.
