Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami: The Iraqi journalistic family has made impressive strides in various fields

The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, President of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Muayyad Al-Lami, confirmed: ‘The Iraqi journalistic family has made important and influential steps in various scientific, cultural, political and social fields.’

Al-Lami said, in a speech at the opening of the dialogue session of the Iraqi-Arab Media Forum, on the challenges of the Arab media in light of the digital transformation and the AI revolution, which was established by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate: ‘Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced during the National Day celebrations for the Iraqi press, the allocation of an important location in a vital area to establish modern housing complexes for journalists in Baghdad, at the request of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate.’

He pointed out that more than 14,000 residential plots of land were distributed free of charge to journalists in all governorates, except for Baghdad, which did not have large areas.

He added: “We requested that there be an inte
grated housing project for all journalists in Baghdad, and we received the Prime Minister’s approval for that. There will also be many steps for journalists that will bear fruit later.”

Regarding the challenges of digital media, the head of the Journalists Syndicate said, ‘We must think about the scientific aspect of what the world is witnessing around us, as media today has become an influential science, which requires us to make great efforts, because the world is racing to obtain modern technologies, and we are no less than them, and we have enough money to build our communities and improving them.’

He continued to say: ‘Everyone hears and follows what is happening in Gaza and how the media is dealing with its accelerating events, as to date there are approximately 37 thousand martyrs and more than 87 thousand wounded and injured, with complete targeting of the cultural and social structure in Gaza.’

Al-Lami pointed out the entry of artificial intelligence into the traditional media, which is led by lar
ge entities and organizations in the United States, most of which are supporters of the Zionist entity, and all of them deal against the humanitarian issues that concern our people, including killing thousands and displacing more than two million people in Gaza, but no one talks about those massacres and the tragedy, as it is supposed.

He went on to say: “We must all think and work for the future of the generations of our children in Arab society, which started out strong but sometimes weakens due to us not meeting. Therefore, we are supposed to exchange meetings, opinions and experiences to help and cooperate to serve everyone.”

He concluded by saying: ‘This dialogue session is useful for everyone, and there is an accelerating global trend towards artificial intelligence issues that everyone is working on to serve their countries, societies and people, in light of this dangerous and influential revolution, which may be very useful as we are facing a dangerous development that wants to wipe us all off the p
olitical and geographical map”.
