Doha: HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani sent a cable of congratulations to HE President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, on the occasion of his country’s Independence Day.

According to Qatar News Agency, the gesture reflects the continued diplomatic relations and goodwill between Qatar and Equatorial Guinea. The message from HH the Deputy Amir underscores the importance of celebrating national milestones and maintaining strong bilateral ties. The President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, has been in power since 1979, making him one of the longest-serving presidents in Africa. Equatorial Guinea’s Independence Day marks its liberation from Spanish colonial rule in 1968.
