HH the Amir and Spanish Prime Minister Discuss Regional Security Concerns Over Phone Call

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, in which regional security and recent developments were discussed following Iran's aggressive actions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Spanish Prime Minister began the conversation by expressing Spain's solidarity with Qatar in response to the Iranian aggression. HE Pedro Sanchez condemned these military actions, which pose a threat to national sovereignty and security, and lauded Qatar's efforts in championing peace and dialogue on both regional and international stages.

Furthermore, HE the Spanish Prime Minister reiterated Spain's support for Qatar in its efforts to combat threats to its security and stability. He underscored the urgent need for diplomatic measures to de-escalate tensions and preserve regional stability.

In response, HH the Amir assured the safety and well-being of the Spanish community living in Qatar, highlighting the attention and care they receive. He also expressed gratitude for Spain's support and solidarity with Qatar during these challenging times.

Both leaders used the opportunity to exchange views on recent regional developments, emphasizing the importance of political and diplomatic solutions. They agreed on the necessity of adhering to international law and the United Nations Charter to bolster peace and security globally.
