HH the Amir Appoints 49 Members to Shura Council

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has issued Amiri Decision No. 42 of 2025, appointing 49 members to the Shura Council. The decision, which was announced on Thursday, is effective immediately and will be published in the official gazette.

According to Qatar News Agency, the appointed members include Yousef bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Ibrahim Al Muadadi, Abd Ul-Rahman bin Yousuf Al Khulaifi, Mohammed bin Yousef bin Abdulrahman Al Mana, and Ahmed bin Hamad bin Ahmed Al Hassan Al Muhannadi, among others. The list continues with individuals such as Hassan bin Abdullah bin Ghanem Al Ghanem and Ali bin Saeed bin Hamad Al Howl Al Marri, reflecting a diverse array of backgrounds and expertise.

The decision underscores the Amir’s emphasis on strengthening the legislative framework in Qatar by incorporating a wide range of experienced individuals into the Shura Council. Other notable appointees include Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Sultan bin Ayash Al Mansouri, Saad bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Ibrahim Al Mohannadi, and Mubarak bin Saeed bin Awjan Al Khayarin.

The newly appointed council members are expected to play a pivotal role in advising on legislative matters and contributing to the nation’s policy-making process. The inclusion of members such as Hamda bint Hassan bin Abdulrahman Abu Dhaan Al Sulaiti and Amina bint Yousef bin Mahmoud Jaidah highlights the ongoing efforts to ensure representation and inclusion within the council.
