Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued the Amiri Decision No 25 of 2025 on Thursday, appointing the new Board of Directors for the Qatar Central Bank (QCB).
According to Qatar News Agency, the decision designates HE Governor of QCB Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Thani as the Chairman of the Board. HE Deputy Governor of QCB Sheikh Ahmed bin Khaled bin Sultan Al-Thani will serve as Vice-Chairman. The appointed board members include HE Dr. Saleh bin Mohammed Al Nabit, HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, HE Dr. Tamy bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Binali, and Dr. Khalid Nasser Al Khater.
The decision outlines that the board membership term is four years, with the possibility of renewal for subsequent or multiple terms. Furthermore, the decision mandates its implementation and publication in the Official Gazette.
