Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued Amiri Decision No. 17 of 2026, reconstituting the Board of Directors of the Free Zones Authority.

According to Qatar News Agency, the decision outlines the new structure of the board, appointing HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani as the Chairman. The Vice Chairman position will be held by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thani. The board will also include HE Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal, Hamad Ali Al Khater, Sheikh Ali bin Al-Waleed Al-Thani, Saleh Majed Al Khulaifi, Ahmed Saeed Al Amoudi, and Abdullah Ali Al Kuwari as members.

The decision allows for the Prime Minister to appoint additional experienced and competent members to the board if necessary. The term of membership on the board is set for four years, with the possibility of renewal for one or more similar terms. This decision takes immediate effect and will be published in the official gazette.
