HH the Deputy Amir and Chairperson of Qatar University (QU)’s Board of Regents Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, chaired on Sunday morning the Board’s third meeting for the academic year 2022-2023, which was held at the Amiri Diwan.

At the outset of the meeting, the Board reviewed what has been implemented of the decisions and recommendations taken during the second meeting of the academic year 2022-2023. It also discussed the topics on the agenda and took the appropriate decisions thereon.

The Board approved the establishment of a BA program in speech and language therapy at the College of Health Sciences, an MSc program in business analysis at the College of Business and Economics, in addition to introducing an area of concentration in environmental engineering at the College of Engineering.

The Board also approved to turn the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics into two departments: the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, and the Department of Physics and Materials Science, as part of the plan to develop the College of Arts and Sciences.
