In the heart of QU’s campus stand the new Early Childhood Center building, with a modern and innovative design that provides many services and facilities in research, education and training. In 2014, the college of education embarked on this new project with the support of Qatar University and the sponsorship by LNG Japan that was facilitated by Qatargas and the Embassy of Japan in Qatar. The establishment of this educational facility is aligned with the vision of Qatar University to promote quality educational programs for early childhood learning and to be a leader in the development of best practices, research and delivery of educational services.

The early childhood center seeks to be a pioneering model for a learning environment that serves early childhood students enrolled in the Bachelor of Primary Education program at Qatar University in their field visits during their years of study and early childhood program. The Center offers best practices that bridge the relationship between theoretical study and practical application.

(The Building)

The state-of-the-art building spreads across 30,494 square meters that holds seven classrooms for 140 children, equipped with all the needed facilities. In addition, the building houses a library, an indoor game court, a gym, a multi-purpose room, an outdoor playground and a nurse room for the safety and health of children and staff of the center. Furthermore, the building has a dedicated space for research and teaching purposes such as training halls equipped with the latest technologies and research offices.
