DOHA, Qatar, Qatar, on Saturday, strongly condemned the Israeli forces, for clashing with Palestinian worshippers, at the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque, in Jerusalem.
“The Israeli occupation forces … deliberately chose the holiest times and places, in order to provoke the feelings of 1.5 billion Muslims,” Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement.
The Qatari ministry also condemned the recently approved Israeli Nation Law, describing it as “racist” against the Palestinians.
According to the new Israeli law, the Palestinian people, on the Israel-occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, have no right to self-determination.
The Qatari statement called on the international community, to take urgent action to stop Israel’s human rights violations, and to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque and other holy sites in Palestine.
On Friday afternoon, at least 50 Israeli policemen raided the Al-Aqsa Mosque, attacking Palestinian worshippers and arresting 24 of them, according to the Jordanian Islamic Waqf Ministry, religious authority, that governs the site.
