The leader of the Sadrist movement, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, delivered a speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) on the day of Ashura. Al-Sadr stressed in his speech: "Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is a role model for the entire Islamic nation, and history has immortalized him across long generations of time."
