Intelligence Agency arrests a human trafficking network in Babylon

The Intelligence Agency announced today, Saturday, the dismantling of a human trafficking network that intended to sell two children, one of them an infant, for 30 million in Babylon.

The Agency stated in a statement, that its detachments were able, based on accurate intelligence, to dismantle the network and arrest its members in an elaborate ambush.

It added, “Two children who were with the network members were seized, one of whom is four years old, and the other is an unknown and unregistered infant. They were trying to sell them for an amount of 30 million Iraqi dinars.”

It added, “Through interrogation with members of the network, they openly admitted that they had carried out human trafficking and agreed to sell the two children.”
