The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security announced the arrest of one of the ISIS leaders in Kirkuk Governorate, who was responsible for armoring and booby-trapping vehicles.

A statement by the Directorate stated that its detachments were able, following intelligence information and technical effort, to overthrow one of the most dangerous leaders of ISIS terrorist gangs in Kirkuk Governorate, where he was working as a workshop official for armoring and booby-trapping vehicles and manufacturing explosive devices.

It added, “The arrest operation was carried out in coordination with the Kirkuk Operations Command, a force from the Sulaymaniyah Counter-Terrorism Service, and the raiding force of the Kirkuk Police Command.”
