Int’l Schools In Basra Enter “Guinness Book Of Records” And Achieve First Place In The World In The English Language

The Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, announced, on Saturday, that Basra International Government Schools achieved first place in the world in the English language competition in the Guinness Book of Records.

Al-Eidani said in a statement, “The experience of international schools was part of the government’s plans to advance the educational level, indicating that the next academic year will witness the opening of ten other international government schools, thus bringing the number of schools to 50 international schools.”

He added, “The local government will work to increase the number of these schools so that the largest number of its students can enjoy these high levels of education. Therefore, the experience will be circulated to all schools in the coming period, indicating that the number of students has reached eight thousand students.”

He pointed out that this educational achievement records its success for the provincial government, which worked greatly to mature international schools.

For her part, the director of Al-Jumhuriya International Governmental School said: The international schools have lifted the burden of expenses from the parents and will record great success in developing the reality of education, indicating that Al-Jumhuriya School has reached most of its students to speak fully in English.
