Baghdad Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian affirmed that strengthening relations with Arab countries is an essential priority in Iran’s foreign policy.
In a tweet, commenting on President Ibrahim Raisi’s visit to Qatar, he said: Certainly, strengthening relations with neighbors, especially Arab countries, is a primary priority in Iran’s foreign policy. We extend our hand to our neighbors.
Abdollahian added that Raisi received a warm welcome from the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, stressing that Iran and Qatar’s relations at the governmental and popular levels are well-established and based on our common interests.
The Iranian President, Ibrahim Raisi, confirmed his country’s efforts to expand the framework of cooperation and relations between it and the Gulf states.
In a press conference he gathered with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in Doha, he stressed that his visit to Qatar opens a new page in the relations between the latter and Iran.
Today, Tuesday, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi attended the opening of the sixth summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.
The Iranian President, Ibrahim Raisi, arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Monday, on his first visit to a Gulf country since taking office after winning the Iranian presidential elections last June.
