Baghdad, The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed: “The talks between Tehran and Riyadh are continuing in the best way, and there are no preconditions in this regard, and we are trying to resume relations through the agreement between the two countries.”
The ministry’s spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh, said in a press statement today, Monday: “Negotiations between Iran and Saudi Arabia are continuing in Baghdad and included regional issues.”
On the other hand, the spokesman denied a Saudi delegation’s visit to Tehran to discuss reopening the embassy.
He explained that the visit of Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani to Doha carries a clear message, which is “giving priority to neighboring countries in Iran’s foreign relations.”
Kani is currently visiting Doha at the head of an Iranian delegation to discuss bilateral relations with the Qatari authorities and the most important developments in the region.
