Israel begins the process of evacuating the eastern areas of Rafah

Gaza – Together – The occupation army gave instructions to evacuate the eastern parts of the city of Rafah, including the Rafah crossing, Karam Abu Salem, and Al-Najjar Hospital, which is the only hospital in the city.

The number of residents and displaced people is about a quarter of a million, and they are required to head towards the Al-Mawasi area, west of Rafah, and Khan Yunis.

The Israeli decision affected Al-Salam neighborhood, Al-Shoka village, and large areas southeast of Rafah.

The occupation army said that citizens are prohibited from heading to Gaza City.

Occupation Army Radio said that the army was distributing leaflets calling on residents east of Rafah, specifically near the border, to evacuate.

Israeli Army Radio reported that the decision to begin the evacuation of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, was taken last night in a cabinet session.

The radio added that the Minister of the Occupation Army, Yoav Galant, spoke yesterday with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken about the start of t
he evacuation of Rafah.

This morning, the occupation army said that it “encourages” residents of eastern Rafah to evacuate immediately and move towards an “expanded humanitarian” area in Al-Mawasi in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, in preparation for the start of its attack on the city, which is crowded with displaced people.

The occupation army repeated its statement that it would continue to pursue the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) everywhere in Gaza until all the prisoners returned, according to its description.

The occupation army added: “This process will move forward gradually based on the continuous assessment of the situation that will take place throughout.”
