Doha: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi held a phone call with his Spanish counterpart, Jose Manuel Albares, to discuss efforts aimed at de-escalating the ongoing tensions in the region following the Israeli attack on Iran.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, both ministers underscored the grave risks posed by continued escalation to regional and international security. They emphasized the urgent need for coordinated regional and international efforts to contain the situation and prevent it from spiraling into a broader conflict that could endanger global peace and stability.
The discussion also covered the situation in the Gaza Strip, with both sides stressing the necessity of an immediate end to the Israeli aggression and the importance of ensuring the adequate and consistent delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave, which is facing a worsening humanitarian catastrophe.
