Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi, in a phone call on Friday, discussed with his Lebanese counterpart Abdullah Bou Habib efforts to reduce tension in southern Lebanon. During the call, Al-Safadi warned of the danger of expanding the brutal Israeli occupation aggression against Gaza to the West Bank and Lebanon and the entire region. For his part, Bou Habib stressed Lebanons tireless pursuit of the success of the existing diplomatic solutions and mediations for the full implementation of Resolution 1701, with what this requires of an immediate cessation of Israeli military attacks, and an end to violations of Lebanons sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Israeli entity continues its escalation on towns and villages of southern Lebanon, in conjunction with its brutal and continuous aggression against the Gaza Strip since last October 7, which resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians, and forced hundreds of families to flee their homes.
