Kuwait Bourse Sees Decline in All Share Index

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday as the All Share Index lost 10.63 points to reach 8,716.63 points, a decrease of 0.12 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 535 million shares valued at KWD 109.14 million (roughly USD 332.8 million) were traded via 25,066 transactions. The Main Market Index increased by 18.49 points to reach 7,936.46 points, up by 0.23 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 356 million shares in 16,422 transactions valued at KWD 57.5 million (roughly USD 175.3 million).

In contrast, the Premier Market Index saw a loss of 18.44 points, closing at 9,341.94 points, down by 0.20 percent. This was the result of 178.9 million shares traded through 8,644 transactions with a value of KWD 51.6 million (roughly USD 154.8 million).

The Main 50 Index showed an increase of 57.69 points, reaching 8,170.55 points, which is up by 0.71 percent. This gain was supported by a stock volume of 275.7 million shares transacted in 10,520 deals at a value of KWD 47.13 million (roughly USD 143.7 million).
