Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday with the All Share Index gaining 44.42 points to reach 8,741.88 points, marking an increase of 0.51 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 169.8 million shares valued at KWD 69.6 million (approximately USD 212.2 million) were exchanged through 13,888 transactions. The Main Market Index rose by 44.61 points to 8,038.92 points, an increase of 0.55 percent, with 51.7 million shares traded via 5,242 transactions valued at KWD 16.3 million (about USD 33.2 million).

The Premier Market Index saw a gain of 65.96 points, reaching 9,344.93 points, up by 0.71 percent. This was achieved through 118.14 million shares traded in 8,646 transactions, amounting to a value of KWD 58.7 million (roughly USD 179 million).

Conversely, the Main 50 Index experienced a decline, dropping by 42.86 points to 8,640.83 points, a decrease of 0.49 percent. This occurred with a stock volume of 10.17 million shares transacted in 4,562 deals, valued at KWD 10.17 million (approximately USD 31 million).
