Kuwait: Kuwait welcomed Thursday the agreement reached to implement the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan, which includes a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the start of serious negotiations aimed at ending the war and the worsening humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people in the Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Kuwait affirms its full support for all international efforts and endeavors aimed at consolidating the ceasefire and delivering humanitarian aid immediately, safely, and sustainably, as a prelude to establishing security and stability in the region. It also reiterated its praise and appreciation for the positive role played by Qatar, Egypt, the United States, and Turkiye in making this agreement a success.

The ministry reiterated Kuwait’s firm and supportive stance on the rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among which is the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions, the Arab Peace Initiative, and the New York Statement on the two-state solution. The ministry stressed that achieving a just and comprehensive peace represents the only way to ensure the security and stability of the region.
