The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, arrived in Ankara, where he will discuss various issues, including the development of cooperation in the field of energy, the grain deal, and the Syrian settlement.
During the visit, Lavrov will meet his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu, with whom he will discuss bilateral cooperation in energy and tourism, the situation in Iraq and the Caucasus, the resumption of relations between Armenia and Turkey, the Ukrainian crisis, and the Syrian settlement.
The two sides will also discuss the grain deal, which was extended in mid-March for 60 days, and the removal of Western obstacles to the arrival of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to the countries of the world.
The two Ministers will focus on the normalization of Syrian-Turkish relations, and they will discuss the “Akuyu” nuclear power plant project, which is being built by the Russian “Rosatom” corporation for nuclear energy.
