Beirut: Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun received a written message from Jordanian King Abdullah II pertaining to relations between the two countries. Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi handed the message during a meeting with President Aoun in Beirut on Thursday.

According to Qatar News Agency, in remarks following the meeting, Safadi affirmed that his country stands by Lebanon to ensure its security, stability, and full sovereignty over its lands. He also stressed the need for Israel to commit to the ceasefire agreement and desist from attacking Lebanon and its sovereignty.
