Tripoli: Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Al Menfi held discussions Tuesday with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis, currently visiting Libya, to explore avenues of political and diplomatic cooperation between the two countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the talks focused on the possibility of activating joint cooperation mechanisms by reviving bilateral technical and economic committees. This development aims to pave the way for the return of Greek companies to invest and contribute to reconstruction and development efforts in Libya, as well as reopening air travel routes between the two nations.

The meeting also addressed ways to enhance security cooperation on the issue of irregular migration. Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity of Libya Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh also met today with the Greek Foreign Minister to discuss efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in economic and service-related fields.
