Manchester: Manchester United earned its first victory of the Premier League season, defeating Burnley 3-2 on Saturday in a third-round match.

According to Qatar News Agency, United’s goals came from an own goal by Burnley’s Irish defender Josh Cullen (27′), as well as strikes from Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes (57′, 90+7′ penalty). The win lifts United to four points, placing them ninth in the table, while Burnley remains on three points in 12th.

Elsewhere in the third round, Bournemouth beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0, Sunderland defeated Brentford 2-1, and Everton edged out Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2. Leeds United and Newcastle United played to a goalless draw.

The round concludes on Sunday with matches featuring Nottingham Forest against West Ham United, Brighton versus Manchester City, Aston Villa taking on Crystal Palace, and Liverpool hosting Arsenal.
