Cairo: Media City Qatar has launched an AI-powered podcast, in partnership with Google Cloud. The “The Next on Air” podcast employs Google Cloud’s NotebookLM to produce daily AI-generated episodes in both Arabic and English, utilizing VEO 2 video generation technology to create human avatars.

According to Qatar News Agency, the project is designed to help Media City Qatar modernize its tools to cover major conferences and events, and attract a broader audience. This initiative marks the beginning of a new phase in the use of artificial intelligence, aiming to redefine media work across production, editing, and distribution.

The launch of the AI-powered podcast showcases Qatar’s ambition to establish itself as a leading platform in smart media and future technologies, demonstrating a commitment to integrate cutting-edge solutions within the media landscape.
