Meteorology Expects Hot Weather, Warns of Poor Visibility in Inshore Areas

Doha: Weather inshore until 6:00 pm on Thursday will be misty to foggy at places at first, becoming relatively hot during the day with slight dust at places, and mild by night, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of expected poor horizontal visibility at places at first. Offshore, the weather will be hazy at times, the report added.

According to Qatar News Agency, wind inshore will be variable less than 4 KT at first, becoming mainly northeasterly to southeasterly at 4 to 14 KT later, and gusting to 20 KT at places daytime. Offshore, wind will be mainly northeasterly to southeasterly at 3 to 13 KT. Sea state inshore will range between 1 and 2 feet, and between 1 to 3 feet offshore. Visibility inshore will be 4 – 9 km / 2 km or less in some areas at first. Offshore, it will be 4 – 10 km.

The detailed tide and temperature information for various areas are as follows: Doha will experience high tides at 05:55 and 16:59, and low tides at 00:20 and 13:00, with a temperature range of 28 to 36 degrees Celsius. In Mesaieed, high tides will occur at 07:33 and 18:48, with low tides at 01:01 and 14:03, and temperatures between 26 and 34 degrees Celsius. Wakrah will see high tides at 06:48 and 17:57, low tides at 00:15 and 13:27, and temperatures ranging from 27 to 36 degrees Celsius.

In Al Khor, high tides are expected at 17:08 and 06:08, with low tides at 12:37 and 00:13. The temperature there will range from 24 to 34 degrees Celsius. Ruwais will have high tides at 07:08 and 18:28, low tides at 00:13 and 12:40, and temperatures between 26 and 32 degrees Celsius. Dukhan will experience high tides at 11:15 and 23:37, low tides at 05:07 and 17:22, with temperatures ranging from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius. Abu Samra will see high tides at 12:57 and 05:31, low tides at 05:16 and 07:12, and temperatures between 23 and 35 degrees Celsius. The sunrise and sunset times are 05:29 LT and 17:12 LT, respectively.
