Doha: HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani today convened the second meeting of 2025 with representatives from the Qatar Chamber and the Qatari Businessmen Association. The focus of the meeting was to address the significant challenges currently facing the private sector, explore viable solutions, and review advancements in initiatives aimed at enhancing the business environment in Qatar.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Minister underscored the Ministry’s dedication to supporting and empowering the private sector, labeling it as a crucial partner in fostering sustainable economic development. He emphasized that the meeting exemplifies the Ministry’s strategy of enhancing direct communication with private sector partners and valuing their feedback and proposals.
His Excellency pointed out the necessity of constructive collaboration and the integration of efforts among all stakeholders to tackle challenges. He also highlighted the continuous efforts to implement initiatives that foster a business-friendly and investment-attractive environment.
The meeting addressed various issues related to the Ministry’s initiatives and projects aimed at improving the business climate, such as streamlining procedures, updating legislation, and facilitating commercial and investment activities.
This meeting is part of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s broader strategy to boost economic competitiveness and strengthen public-private partnerships. These efforts align with the Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to establish a diversified and sustainable economy led by the private sector.
