Doha: HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai on Monday held separate bilateral meetings with HE Minister of Communications and Digital Economy of the State of Palestine Abd Al-Razeq Natshe, HE Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov, and HE Minister of Information in charge of Post and Telecommunications of the Republic of Djibouti Radwan Abdillahi Bahdon. Held on the margin of the M360 Middle East and North Africa conference currently held in Doha, the meetings discussed ways to enhance bilateral and regional cooperation in the field of communications and information technology, and exchange of expertise and knowledge on the latest developments in this vital sector.
According to Qatar News Agency, in the meetings, HE Minister Al Mannai touched on the efforts of the State of Qatar in the field of digital transformation, stressing the importance of exchanging expertise and knowledge in the fields of technological innovation,
smart digital solutions, and digital infrastructure. His Excellency highlighted the initiatives and projects implemented by the State of Qatar to build a thriving digital economy and improve the quality of life for citizens and residents.
Qatar’s firm commitment to strengthening regional and international partnerships to achieve sustainable development goals through technology and enhance Qatar’s position as a regional hub for digital innovation was also emphasized. Discussions during the meetings also discussed ways of joint cooperation to develop innovative initiatives that enhance digitization efforts in participating countries, with a focus on developing technological capabilities and developing systems that support communications and information technology.
