Minister of Environment Engages with Global Leaders at COP29.

BAKU: HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Dr. Abdullah bin Turki Al Subaie held several meetings on the sidelines of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), held in Baku, Azerbaijan from Nov. 11-22.

According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Al Subaie met with HRH Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud to discuss issues of common interest and to enhance cooperation between the two countries. These discussions were part of a broader effort to strengthen the partnership between the fraternal nations.

Additionally, Dr. Al Subaie engaged in separate meetings with key international figures, including HE State Secretary and Special Envoy for International Climate Action at the Federal Republic of Germany Jennifer Lee Morgan, HE Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Bahodur Sheralizoda, and Director General of the National Environmental Protectio
n Agency of Afghanistan Mawlavi Matiul Haq Khalis. These discussions focused on enhancing cooperation to address climate change, building bilateral partnerships, and exploring international initiatives of mutual interest.
