HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri, the President of the 111th session of the International Labour Conference, met today with HE Director General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Gilbert Houngbo on the sidelines of the International Labour Conference in the Swiss capital, Geneva.

During the meeting, aspects of joint cooperation between the State of Qatar and ILO were discussed, and ways to support and develop them during the coming period.

The topics for discussion at the 111th meeting of the International Labour Conference, presided over by the State of Qatar, were evaluated by the two parties.

They emphasized the importance of deriving value from the tripartite labour groups’ gathering, with the aim of producing valuable recommendations and efficient strategies to mitigate the adverse impacts that various crises have had on the worldwide labor market.
