Doha: HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad met on Thursday with HE Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the State of Qatar Roshan Sithara Khan Azard. The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation and ways to support and strengthen it, in addition to the humanitarian situation, urgent needs, and recovery plans following Cyclone Ditwah, which struck Sri Lanka.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing mutual relations and exploring avenues for collaboration in response to the recent natural disaster. The dialogue aimed to identify effective strategies to address the immediate needs arising from the cyclone’s impact and to formulate long-term recovery plans. The meeting underscored the importance of international cooperation in addressing humanitarian challenges and facilitating recovery efforts.
