Ministry of Education and Higher Education Organizes Writing Competitions.

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education organized a creative writing competition for fifth and sixth grade primary school students, with the participation of 79 schools, 27 boys’ schools and 52 girls’ schools.

According to Qatar News Agency, the competition aimed to enhance students’ linguistic and writing skills and abilities, develop a spirit of fair competition among them, consolidate educational and ethical principles, support excellence and distinction, and enhance the love of the Arabic language and its skills in the souls of students. The competitions included dictation and writing branches, where the winners of the first three places in each were honored.

The Creative Writing Skills competition was organized within the framework of the ministry’s keenness to highlight the historical and civilizational role of the Arabic language, as well as its value in terms of building character and its intellectual and cultural formation, in addition to developing students’ writing and dictation ski
