Doha: HE Minister of Public Health Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud has issued Decision No. (46) of 2025, which cancels the previous Decision No. (21) of 2023 related to fees for obtaining a health card and its replacement in case of loss or damage.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Public Health has clarified that starting tomorrow, Qatari citizens will use their national ID card instead of the health card to access health services at Hamad Medical Corporation, Primary Health Care Corporation, and other health sector facilities without any fees. The Ministry urges citizens to carry their national ID when visiting health facilities.

The Ministry further noted that the health card will continue to be used by residents according to current procedures. This decision is part of the Ministry’s efforts to streamline administrative procedures, unify the official documents used in government transactions, and enhance the patient experience.
