MOEHE Concludes 4th School Theater Festival 2024 at Headquarters.

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) concluded, at its headquarters today, the activities of the 4th School Theater Festival 2024. HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater honored the winning students in the festival, along with the members of the judging committee and the reading of texts, in the presence of a number of MOEHE senior officials, school principals, and parents.

According to Qatar News Agency, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the MOEHE Maha Al Ruwaili, during her speech at the closing ceremony, emphasized the festival’s role in promoting theatrical arts as a vital component of the educational process. She highlighted how school theater serves as an exceptional platform for students to express their ideas and creativity, fostering values of teamwork and cooperation.

Maha Al Ruwaili elaborated that theatrical arts extend beyond stage performances, acting as a catalyst for enhancing self-confidence, developing communica
tion skills, and encouraging creative and critical thinking. This, she noted, contributes to building a generation poised to participate effectively in the sustainable development process that the State of Qatar aims to achieve. She expressed hope that the festival would continue to be a hub for creativity and excellence, providing an open space for students to express their ideas and ambitions.

The closing ceremony showcased a theatrical performance titled “Nour’s beautiful dream,” presented by students of Qatar Primary School for Girls. Additionally, video clips of performances by students from 11 schools were featured. The event also included a song titled “our heads are high,” written by Al-Jawhara Al Mutawa with music by teacher Maha Hassan.
