MOEHE Concludes Program on Building Leadership Capabilities

Doha: The Training and Development Center of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) concluded a program on building leadership capabilities, a unique program targeting promising new leaders in public schools. The program’s closing ceremony was attended by HE Undersecretary of the MOEHE Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Maha Zayed Qaqaa Al Ruwaili, and a number of local and regional educational leaders.

According to Qatar News Agency, the program lasted five days and covered topics including agile leadership, strategic planning, leadership analysis, school performance leadership, and decision-making. The ministry indicated that the final day was exceptionally well-organized, combining theoretical and practical aspects. It included a videoconference discussion with Dr. Ayoub Al Ayoub from Kuwait, who addressed leadership skills, the skills triangle, and their impact on leading individuals, drawing significant interaction from the participants.

The ministry underscored that the participants showcased their training outcomes and leadership skills through their complete management of the closing segments, as they coordinated the event and managed dialogues with a number of influential local educational leaders, including Muna Mohammed Al Kuwari, a consultant in the office of the Undersecretary of the MOEHE; Director of the Training and Development Center at the MOEHE Iman Salman Al Mohannadi; and Head of the Social Studies Department at the MOEHE Afrah Ahmed Al Riyashi; and Principal of Mesaiyed Mixed School for Boys Mohamed Ahmed Al Hamadi.

This program is part of the MOEHE’s efforts to prepare a second generation of educational leaders and achieve sustainability in school leadership, keeping pace with the requirements of the next phase of education in the State of Qatar.
