Doha: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today the return of a group of Russian servicemen from Ukraine, as part of the Istanbul Agreements for the exchange of prisoners between the two sides.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry stated that in line with the Russian-Ukrainian agreements reached on June 2 in Istanbul, Turkey, another group of Russian servicemen has returned. The servicemen are currently in Belarus, where they are receiving medical and psychological assistance, pending their transfer to Russia for treatment and rehabilitation.

Ukrainian authorities announced earlier today that they had received the remains of 1,200 Ukrainian soldiers from Russia.
