Multiple Fatalities, Injuries in Israeli Attack on Various Areas in Gaza Strip

Gaza city: Several Palestinians were martyred and multiple others wounded today as a result of Israeli shelling of various areas in the Gaza Strip, targeting residential homes and sites housing displaced persons, amid the ongoing aggression and deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex reported that five citizens were killed and others wounded by Israeli forces’ fire near an aid distribution center north of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip. Two citizens were also killed in an airstrike that targeted an area near Hamad Residential City, northwest of Khan Yunis.

A number of Palestinians were also killed and others wounded as a result of shelling that targeted a tent for displaced persons in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood, south of Gaza City. Another shelling of a house in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of the city, killed two members of the same family and wounded several others.

On Al-Fawakhir Street in central Gaza City, two civilians, including a child, were killed in shelling that targeted the area. Other casualties were reported in shelling and gunfire carried out by Israeli forces in various areas of Gaza City and Rafah.

Medical sources reported that the shelling brought the death toll since dawn on Monday to 35, including 18 in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip. Search and rescue efforts continue in several locations inaccessible due to the intensity of the shelling and airstrikes.

Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 57,523, in addition to 136,617 wounded. Thousands of bodies remain under the rubble and in the streets, amid difficulties facing ambulance and rescue crews due to the shelling and lack of equipment.

Intense Israeli bombardment continues on residential areas, medical facilities, and displacement centers, amid catastrophic humanitarian conditions exacerbated by severe shortages of food, water, and medicine. There are warnings of a complete collapse of the health and environmental sectors.
