Multiple Injuries, Several Arrests as Israeli Forces Raid West Bank Cities

Doha: A Palestinian youth was injured by Israeli occupation forces on Saturday during a raid by Israeli occupation special units on the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin in occupied West Bank. The incident was part of a broader wave of arrests carried out by the occupation forces across several cities in the West Bank.

According to Qatar News Agency, special forces surrounded a house in Al-Jalama neighborhood of Qabatiya, while the Israeli occupation army deployed reinforcements from Dotan military checkpoint. The raid was accompanied by heavy drone activity and the use of stun grenades.

The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that its crews in Jenin treated a young man with a gunshot wound to the hand sustained during the raid.

Meanwhile, local sources reported that several Palestinians were injured, and others arrested following an attack by settlers on the Bedouin village of Ma’azi Jaba’ east of occupied Jerusalem. Israeli police later stormed the area, raiding homes and arresting residents, including some of the injured.

Separately, for the second consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces continued to impose harsh restrictions at military checkpoints across the West Bank. They closed most entry and exit points of towns and villages in the governorates of Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Jericho, Nablus, Tubas, Salfit, Qalqilya, and Hebron.

The number of military checkpoints and iron gates set up by Israeli forces in the West Bank has now reached 898, including 18 gates installed since the beginning of 2025 and 146 erected after October 7, 2023.
