Netherlands Calls on Israel to Urgently Implement Orders of ICJ

General Press Releases

Amsterdam, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, called on the Israeli occupation to comply with the orders of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and urgently stop the military operation in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

The horrific consequences of the Israeli occupation’s air strike on a camp for displaced people in the vicinity of Rafah confirms the need for an immediate ceasefire in the Strip, and the release of all prisoners, Rutte added on X platform.

The Israeli occupation shelled a camp for displaced people west of Rafah, killing 45 Palestinians, including children and women. This came only two days after the International Court of Justice, the highest judicial body in the United Nations, issued orders for the occupation to immediately stop its military operations in Rafah, and to keep the crossings open to enable the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
