Omani-Uzbek Joint Committee Focuses on Economic and Trade Relations

Tashkent: The fifth session of the Omani-Uzbek Joint Committee was held in Tashkent, where discussions centered on enhancing cooperation between Oman and Uzbekistan across various sectors, including economic, trade, and investment, in addition to education, culture, transportation, and civil aviation.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was co-chaired by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, and Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef. The session provided a platform for both nations to explore ways to strengthen economic and trade relations and expand collaborative efforts in critical sectors.

The discussions highlighted the importance of increasing cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, transportation and logistics, energy, agriculture, higher education, tourism, and culture. Both sides emphasized the need to activate partnerships between the public and private sectors to foster growth and mutual benefits in these key areas.
