Basra, Iraq – On behalf of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, H.E The President of the Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani attended the opening ceremony of the 25th Gulf Cup held in Iraq’s city of Basra on Friday.
H.E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani has arrived in Basra International Airport earlier today and received a warm welcoming by the Governor of Basra Province, HE Asaad Al Eidani.
The competitions of the 25th Gulf Cup kicked off in Basra city on Friday and will last until 19th of January.
