Doha: Ooredoo Qatar has entered into a new partnership with Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities through Best Buddies Qatar, one of the center’s programs, to launch a comprehensive internship program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This step underscores the company’s commitment to social responsibility and promoting social inclusion.
According to Qatar News Agency, Ooredoo Qatar explained that through this partnership, it will provide three-month internship opportunities, allowing participants to gain real-life professional experience, develop their practical skills, and engage in a supportive work environment, enhancing their future opportunities in the job market.
Executive Director of Shafallah Center, Maryam Saif Al Suwaidi, said that this collaboration reflects Ooredoo’s commitment to social responsibility and its commitment to promoting the integration and empowerment of people with disabilities in society. This is in line with the Center’s future vision to build a more inclusive and equal society.
Al Suwaidi added that the support provided by Ooredoo Qatar directly contributes to the development of the rehabilitation services provided by the Shafallah Center for people with disabilities, and provides the center with a strong impetus to implement quality projects and initiatives that improve the quality of life for this segment of society.
For his part, Senior Director of Marketing Communications at Ooredoo Qatar, Sabah Rabiah Al Kuwari, said that Ooredoo Qatar is committed to building an inclusive society where everyone has opportunities for growth and success, noting that the partnership with the Best Buddies Qatar – Shafallah program reflects this commitment.

It is worth noting that Best Buddies Qatar was established in 2008 as a program affiliated with the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities, one of the centers under the umbrella of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work.
