Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh discussed today with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso ways to support development projects and investments in the field of solar energy and infrastructure in the Occupied Territories.

Shtayyeh stressed during the meeting the importance of the European Bank providing reduced interest on loans for development projects in order to encourage investment and advance the Palestinian national economy.

“Despite the decline in foreign aid for the government and the continued illegal Israeli deductions from our funds, the Palestinian economy recovered and achieved growth, especially after the Corona pandemic,” said the Prime Minister.
