The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, confirmed that: ‘There is no alternative but to strengthen our security capabilities and rely on our own efforts.’

Al-Sudani said in a speech while receiving Eid al-Fitr well-wishers: ‘The efforts of the various types of security forces bring safety and reassurance to all Iraqis.’

He added: “The government and all state authorities are aware of supporting the security forces, and we are working to strengthen the capabilities of the security forces and develop the armament, training, technical and administrative capabilities.”

The Commander-in-Chief pointed out that: ‘Leaders, officers and ministers must be close to the members and prepare their supplies,’ stressing: ‘The important part in the performance of the armed forces is dealing with citizens.’
