Police Academy Debuts at Basel Tattoo Military Festival in Switzerland

Basel: The Police Academy is making its inaugural appearance at the Basel Tattoo Military Festival, commencing on July 11 in Basel. This prestigious event is renowned for its focus on military and musical performances, attracting an audience of approximately 1.3 million viewers from across Europe each year.

According to Qatar News Agency, the festival is organized under the patronage of the Swiss Federal Department of Defence and supervised by the Competence Center of Swiss Military Music. The Police Academy is preparing for a noteworthy participation with a contingent of 44 students from the Police College, who have undergone two months of rigorous training. This effort aims to present an impressive performance that showcases Qatar’s cultural and media engagement on an international platform.

Captain Abdullah Ahmed Al Subaie, head of the military parade committee, highlighted the emphasis on mastering motor and performative skills, integrating music with silent movements in a modern style. The performance will feature precise synchronization between the silent infantry display and musical pieces by the Police Music Band, consisting of 67 musicians, to deliver a holistic audio-visual experience.

Al Subaie further explained that this participation aligns with the Academy’s mission to represent Qatar at international events and demonstrate the professionalism and discipline of its members. These qualities are outcomes of continuous training and specialized preparation, as evidenced by the team’s involvement in various national and community events, as well as Police College graduation ceremonies.
