Doha: The “Women’s Training and Qualification Strategies to Enhance Security Performance” seminar, organized by the Police Academy through its Center for Security Research and Studies, kicked off Sunday. The event is being held in collaboration with Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), under the patronage of HE Minister of Interior, Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police Academy, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
According to Qatar News Agency, the seminar’s opening was attended by HE Minister of State for Internal Affairs, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Thani, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Interior, Lekhwiya, and representatives from relevant organizations. A group of experts and specialists from local, regional, and international institutions were also present.
The seminar, which will run from Sep. 28 to 30, 2025, will address several topics related to the development and qualification of female personnel in the security field. It aims to enhance their contribution to maintaining security and stability in line with regional and international security developments and challenges.
