The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Police Academy's Security Research and Studies Center, achieved the first place at the institutional level, in the Police Sciences Academy Award for Scientific Research in 2023. The Security Research and Studies Center won the award for a research that tackled security data and knowledge management in the digital environment and its role in developing the efficiency of security performance. Assistant Director of the Security Research and Studies Center, Major Dr. Khalifa Ahmed Buhashim Al Sayed, received the award at a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Sharjah Police Science Academy.
